However, prime time television is plagued with reality show clones, and 'gossip' shows (pun clearly intended). But Gears of War can be seen as a strong title which adapted many great techniques from film and camera work to produce certain experiences - much like Citizen Kane. So let's not get our panties in a bunch. Citizen's Kane plot was lacking but was praised for it's cinematography and it's use of deep focus, and while it didn't have Kane in the belly of the beast or shooting aliens, let's remember that it was praised for it's technical merit and not it's story.
